Welcome to And Blue Sky! I’m Crystal. I’ve been blogging since 1999, mostly over at a blog called Straight On Till Morning, but I moved here in November 2015 for a fresh new start. I’m currently a freelance travel writer and social media manager. I specialize in writing about hotels thanks to a hospitality background that ranges from an independent 100-room hotel where I’d be the only one working all night to a 1,000+ room Walt Disney World resort where I was one of 43 concierges.

Reading way too much – mostly nonfiction. My favorite novels are “Still Life With Woodpecker” by Tom Robbins and “Stardust” by Neil Gaiman, and the Harry Potter series, of course. (I’m a Ravenclaw!)
Buying ugly dresses at thrift shops and turning them into something that’s both awesome and one of a kind.
All the coffee. And some vodka.
Yoga, hiking, and other vaguely athletic pursuits that I’m not so great at but do anyway.
